- Lilly is a Senior in the College majoring in Biology of Global Health and minoring in Sociology. Since returning from a semester studying (the beaches) abroad in Sydney, Australia, Lilly has started working in Dr. Heidi Elmendorf’s lab in the Biology Department studying genetic regulation mechanisms of the intestinal pathogen, Giardia lamblia. She also spent this past summer conducting Cystic Fibrosis research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia! Aside from being a proud Stemminist, Lilly is also involved in GIVES, Club Swimming, Project Sunshine, and WGTB.

- Eileen is a Senior Biology major minoring in Art. During her fall semester, she studied at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Currently, she is researching and imaging zebrafish in the Glasgow Lab on Georgetown’s Medical Campus. This summer she’ll be flying off to the exotic lands of Virginia Tech for a research project investigating the occurrence and fate of pharmaceuticals and personal care products in urban-impacted watersheds (say that 10x fast). Outside of school, she enjoys going to jazz and blues shows, concerts, and spending time with her dog.

Katherine is a Senior Neurobiology major in the College with a minor in History. She spent the the last fall studying abroad in Australia at the University of New South Wales. Katherine conducts research in the Huang Lab in the Department of Biology studying the role of creatine in the demyelination process of Multiple Sclerosis. Katherine is also a tutor for GU Math and Science Hands on Enrichment. Outside of class, she enjoys running, dancing with GU Bindaas and spending time with her friends.

NEUROBIOLOGY, '18 Victoria Smith is a Senior Neurobiology major in the College with a minor in Philosophy and Bioethics. She spent last fall studying abroad in Scotland at the University of Saint Andrews. Victoria conducts research in the Huang Lab in the Department of Biology studying the role of retinoic acid in myelination. Along with her work with Stemme, Victoria is the President of Active Minds at Georgetown. In her free time, Victoria enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, and binge watching crime dramas on Netflix. |

Becky is a Junior in the NHS studying Human Science on a pre-med track. She studied abroad this past summer in Argentina as part of the Translational Health Science Internship. Becky will be starting in Jan LaRocque's genetics lab this semester. She is on the Varsity Swimming and Diving Team and in Kappa Alpha Theta.

- Sonia Vohra is a Sophomore in the SFS majoring in STIA (Science, Technology, and International Affairs). She is also on a pre-med track and is considering pursuing a concentration in Biotechnology and Global Health. She is currently an editor for The Triple Helix’s bi-annual Science in Society Review and hopes to use her role as a New Student Orientation Advisor in the fall to introduce new students to science opportunities on campus. In her free time she enjoys ballroom dancing, learning ASL, and rapping songs from Hamilton.
