Who we are
We are Georgetown University's group of "stemmes" - women in the STEM fields, women who are typically underrepresented and who are looking for like-minded individuals.
We are professional.
We strive to promote each member's growth as a professional in her field of choosing through alumni events and networking, research symposia, and mentorship programs designed for each to reach her full potential.
We are social.
We seek to make a community of like-minded women who can turn to one another after a hard day in the lab or a stressful Organic Chemistry final. We encourage anyone with somewhat of an interest to join, for we would like to reach as many people with as many interests as possible.
We are intellectual.
Above all else, we are students. We seek to learn, and we seek to share what we've learned with others - be that a casual conversation with a friend or a research presentation.
